His sire is Holy Bull, whose best progeny have won at Classic distances, yet with the Blushing Groom and Mr. Prospector from his dam-side, MACHO UNO has thrown a lot of good 2-year-olds that have gone on, as he did, to run through good 3-year-old and 4-year-old careers, again at Classic distances.

He gets very good looking, big, athletic, leggy, powerful horses. They have proven to be consistently good racehorses – with the horse having had only three crops to race so far.

Owner Frank Stronach bred some of his very best mares to the horse and he is likely to produce many more high-profile runners from mares that sold in 2009 for big prices at Keeneland. That would likely make any deal to stand the horse in South America in 2010 appear to be brilliant in the next few years. “
